New York UFO Flap of the 1980's

In the history of UFO sightings of the late 20th century, I believe the following video tape evidence is one of the most dramatic. From the Hudson Valley, comes Bob Pozzuoli's 1984 video of a craft over a nuclear power plant.

You can follow the above link, which I uploaded sometime ago. There are other videos there about the same incident. I edited this one down a bit for time, but overall this is the best video on the event. They often do not show the hoax with the planes in the other video's and just sum up all the sightings as the plane hoax. The rotating craft hovering over the nuclear plant, those are not planes.

Upstate New York is also a mysterious place where a lot of UFO activity has taken place over the past three decades. Whitley Strieber lived in this area and his book Communion is about his experiences with unexplained intruders during the early 1980's in NY.

I lived in upstate New York for about a year and drove by Pine Bush everyday on my way to work. I did not see any lights in the sky, but at night, the Catskills are indeed a very spooky place. If you go to YouTube, you will see that there is no end to the wealth of video presented from this part of the state. I have many speculations on what the origin of all of these lights could be. Some may have earthly explanations, while I must say, that I do entertain some wild theories. A vortex of some kind? A nearby alien base? Something in the chemical composition of the land that they need?

Whatever the case, the video I uploaded from an old HBO show is something that is not a hoax. If Robert Hastings book, UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites, ever goes back into print, I would like to have a copy. I know that he runs off a dizzying list of incidents from nuclear sites, that even if these things are not from space, we should all be a little concerned for our nations safety.
