Synchronicity of the Cat Killers - Two Ritualistic Cat Killings in Two Different States, all within Two Months of each other

Two disturbing stories have surfaced in the last week, both involving the odd ritualistic murder of cats. Are there influences at work that are beyond our understanding? I'll delve into this matter after a brief summation of the cat killings. The first mysterious murders come from Yonkers New York, the second is from Lakeland Florida.

On Thursday, April 24th 2014 in Yonkers New York, sanitation workers were doing routine work in a vacant lot when they saw an array of plastic bags hanging from a tree. The bodies of 25 cats were stuffed inside the hanging plastic bags. The discovery left the residents of the community more than a little unnerved. “I’m scared, because what if next it’s people?” Asked 22 year old Shatiqua Shubrick who has a valid point, its known that serial killers sometimes start with animal kills and then graduate to bigger game. Thankfully, authorities have found no evidence of torture. The cats were killed by blunt force trauma. This is an area where there are many stay cats, but those cats have been mysteriously disappearing as of late.

Authorities have been looking for the feline killer, they have some leads and fear that the 'sick trophies' might be some kind of sadistic ritual. This is not the first time cat corpses have been found in the same lot. Last year, Brett Pisano of the city Department of Public Works said that there were bags and bodies found in the same area in the summer of 2013, only there weren't as many bodies.

Only a day and half later, in Lakeland Florida, a story came to light that over the last two months, 3 mutilated bodies of cats had been discovered. In two of these cases, the back half of the felines bodies were missing. The third was found with a large hole in its chest, apparently from a knife wound. The difference between this story and the New York killings, is that the Florida cats are peoples pets. Its upsetting, especially since now, 5 neighbors are now reporting that they too have missing cats.

A $750 reward is being offered to help nab the Lakeland cat killer. Police spokesman Gary Gross told The Ledger; "This is bizarre and sadistic. This is how serial killers start."

What can we draw from all of this? The synchronicity of these two events makes me wonder what the cat killers may have in common. Some kind of weird satanic cult? I don't think the killings are related in a physical sense. But is there something in the air? A nervous response to their inner and outer world. Like a flock of birds stirred by the wind, does something move the minds of those that are unable to tune out the impulses? As in astrology, are they moved by external forces that they themselves do not fully understand? The glow of the full moon? The negative forces from the dark of the moon? 

Speaking of the moon, in ancient times, the moon and cats were associated with one another. We are currently going through a phase of 'Blood Moons'. April 15th was a blood moon and a lunar eclipse. Are the cat killings Sacrifices to the Moon Goddess? Maybe not on a conscious level but on an unconscious one?

Nearly 75% of the human body consists of water. Both the moon and sun influence tremendous force on the earths ocean and sea tides according to NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
"When the sun, moon, and Earth are in alignment (at the time of the new or full moon), the solar tide has an additive effect on the lunar tide, creating extra-high high tides, and very low, low tides—both commonly called spring tides." NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. 
Is the moon to blame for stirring-up the cat killers? Perhaps, if you look at the moon like alcohol for an alcoholic. It can bring out the worst in people. 

There are a few other similarities in these stories. In both, service workers discovered the grisly remains. In both cases, the killings happened outside of a major metropolitan hub, (New York City and Tampa). In both cases, someone fears that the killers may move on to killing people next. Lets hope it does not come to that. I fear that in a few years, a sanitation worker or groundskeeper will stumble across the body of a human victim in some abandoned lot. It may all mean nothing, or it points to how interconnected our seemingly unconnected lives are with the fabric of unseen forces around us.

Private Firm Sets Sights on First Moon Base

NASA may not be going to the moon anytime soon, but private companies plan to do so, a study by space habitat developer Bigelow Aerospace shows.

The study, commissioned by NASA, is intended as a supplemental roadmap for the U.S. government as it charts human space initiatives beyond the International Space Station, a permanently staffed research complex that orbits about 250 miles above Earth.

“Instead of being the typical approach where we put together all the plans and we ask for participation, we wanted to look at it the other way and see what’s available,” NASA’s head of space operations, Bill Gerstenmaier, told reporters during a press conference on Thursday.

“This is a holistic kind of effort,” added Robert Bigelow, president and founder of the Nevada-based firm that bears his name. “It’s intended to encompass as much (information) as possible and it’s intended to evolve and to grow.”

The first part of the study surveyed about two dozen companies and research organizations about their ideas, plans, capabilities, schedules and costs for upcoming space initiatives. A draft report was submitted to NASA on Thursday -- 40 days ahead of schedule -- and has not yet been publicly released.

NASA intends to use the information to figure out where it can collaborate with private space initiatives and where it might, for example, entirely skip an expensive research and development program and just buy services or hardware commercially.

For example, after the International Space Station is removed from orbit, NASA could be a tenant aboard a Bigelow Aerospace-owned habitat for any microgravity research or technology development it wants to do.

Huge Rock Crashes Into Moon, Sparks Giant Explosion

The moon has a new hole on its surface thanks to a boulder that slammed into it in March, creating the biggest explosion scientists have seen on the moon since they started monitoring it.

The meteorite crashed on March 17, slamming into the lunar surface at a mind-boggling 56,000 mph (90,000 kph) and creating a new crater 65 feet wide (20 meters). The crash sparked a bright flash of light that would have been visible to anyone looking at the moon at the time with the naked eye, NASA scientists say.

"On March 17, 2013, an object about the size of a small boulder hit the lunar surface in Mare Imbrium," Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office said in a statement. "It exploded in a flash nearly 10 times as bright as anything we've ever seen before."

Mystery of Moon's Magnetic Field Deepens

The moon generated a surprisingly intense magnetic field until at least 3.56 billion years ago, 160 million years longer than previously thought, a new study reports.

These findings could shed light not just on the magnetic field of the moon, which is now extremely weak, but on that of asteroids and other distant worlds, investigators added.

Earth's magnetic field is created by its internal dynamo, which itself is generated by the planet's churning molten metal core. Research increasingly suggests that the moon once had a dynamo as well, with evidence of magnetism found in lunar rocks returned by Apollo astronauts.


Models of the moon's core suggest its dynamo should have lasted only until about 4.1 billion years ago. However, last year, scientists revealed that the moon possessed a magnetic field for much longer than previously thought, with a powerful dynamo in its core from 4.2 billion years ago to at least 3.72 billion years ago.

Researchers have proposed two possibilities to explain why the moon's dynamo lasted so long. One possible explanation is that giant cosmic impacts set the moon lurching enough to drive its dynamo. Another explanation has to do with how the moon's core spins around a slightly different axis than its surrounding mantle layer, generating wobbles — known as precession — that could dramatically stir its core.

The cosmic-impact idea is supported by the fact that the moon experienced massive collisions until around 3.7 billion years ago, such as the one that created the 715-mile-wide (1,150 kilometers) Mare Imbrium, among other craters.

However, the dynamo generated by each impact would have lasted for a mere 10,000 years or so, scientists say. In contrast, if precession drove a lunar dynamo, the moon could have continuously possessed a magnetic field until as late as 1.8 billion years ago.
